Paris has long been an important part of Gaurav Gupta’s journey, and now the designer is taking that relationship a step further with the opening of his first permanent Paris showroom. On 5 October 2026, the couture house opened its doors at 6 Rue Jean Goujon, in the 8th arrondissement, within the city’s Golden Triangle.
The 300-square-metre showroom is housed in a 1930 building designed by French architect Charles Lemaresquier. The space brings together the architectural character of the historic building with Gaurav Gupta’s own creative language, incorporating Indian craftsmanship, artworks and furniture designed by the couturier while retaining the identity of the original space.
Gupta’s association with Paris dates back to the early years of his career, when the city and its fashion history became an important source of inspiration. The relationship deepened when the house first presented during Paris Haute Couture Week, followed by subsequent seasons in the city. When Gupta presented Shunya in 2023, the idea of establishing a permanent home for the house in Paris had already taken shape.

The new showroom now allows the couture house to exist in Paris beyond the few days of Couture Week. Designed as a more intimate setting, it will offer an opportunity to spend greater time with the clothes, clients and ideas that emerge through those conversations, reflecting Gupta’s belief that couture requires time and attention at every stage, from the initial idea to the final garment.
Leading the new Couture Salon will be Jean-Paul Cornut, who brings over a decade of experience in Parisian Haute Couture, including his previous role as Haute Couture Director at Elie Saab. His experience will be central to establishing and developing the salon as a permanent home for the house in Paris.

For Gaurav Gupta, the new address also marks an important moment for Indian couture on the global stage. The showroom represents the evolution of the house’s Paris journey from presenting collections during Couture Week, to building relationships in the city, and now creating a permanent space where its work can continue to live and evolve.
