The wait is over for horror fans in India Final Destination: Bloodlines, the sixth installment in the iconic horror franchise, is set to stream on JioHotstar from October 16, 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
After a strong box office run, the film is now making its much-anticipated digital debut. The streaming platform confirmed the release with the announcement:
Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, Bloodlines delves into the origin story of Death’s twisted design, taking viewers back to where it all began. The story follows Stefanie, a college student plagued by disturbing visions, who returns home to uncover the dark truth haunting her bloodline and possibly, a way to stop it.
The screenplay is penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, based on a story by Busick, Taylor, and Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home).
The film opened to $51 million domestically the biggest debut in the franchise’s history and went on to gross $286 million globally, making it the highest-grossing Final Destination film to date, according to Variety.
The Final Destination series, which began in 2000, has now earned over $983 million worldwide, solidifying its spot as New Line Cinema’s third-biggest horror franchise, behind The Conjuring universe and It.
With Bloodlines revitalizing interest in the franchise, a seventh installment is already in development, with co-writer Lori Evans Taylor returning. The original 2000 film starred Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Seann William Scott, and Tony Todd, and launched a horror legacy known for its suspenseful, fate-driven deaths.
