In a surprising cross-continental casting move, veteran Indian actor-director Anupam Kher has announced that Game of Thrones star Iain Glen will play a central role in his upcoming film, Tanvi The Great. Glen, globally known for portraying Ser Jorah Mormont in the HBO megahit, will take on the character of Michael Simmons in Kher’s directorial venture, which has been steadily gaining attention since its initial reveal.
Unlike many casting announcements that feel transactional, this one is rooted in genuine connection. Kher and Glen first worked together on the BBC miniseries Mrs. Wilson, and their creative camaraderie clearly left a mark.
