In a landmark moment for Indian cinema, global icon Deepika Padukone has become the first Indian actress to be inducted into the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. The announcement was made by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which revealed the list of honorees for 2026 under the motion picture category.
Deepika, who has steadily carved her place on the global stage, reacted with a simple yet powerful “Gratitude” on her Instagram stories, reflecting her humility in the face of yet another historic achievement.
The 2026 Walk of Fame list includes a star-studded lineup featuring Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Timothée Chalamet, Rami Malek, Stanley Tucci, Demi Moore, Franco Nero, and even celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. A total of 35 personalities were chosen on June 20, with the board of directors approving the final list on June 25.
Deepika’s recognition is the latest in a long list of global milestones. From being named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2018 to receiving the TIME100 Impact Award, she has continued to break boundaries. Notably, she made history by unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy during the final match in Qatar — the first Indian to do so — and became the face of global luxury giants Louis Vuitton and Cartier. Her presence on the Cannes Film Festival jury only solidified her standing as a global cultural ambassador.
On the film front, Padukone was recently seen in the sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD and Rohit Shetty’s action entertainer Singham Again.
