Priyanka Chopra Jonas is back in action, and this time in her most ferocious avatar yet. The global star has unveiled the first official trailer of her upcoming film The Bluff, offering audiences a glimpse of her transformation into a battle-hardened pirate and fiercely protective mother.
The trailer introduces Priyanka as Ercell Bodden, also known as the infamous “Bloody Mary,” a former pirate who refuses to bow down even when wounded and outnumbered. Bloodied but unbroken, her character is seen fighting relentlessly to safeguard her child, delivering high-octane action sequences that underline both physical strength and emotional depth.
Sharing the trailer on social media, Priyanka wrote, “This only ends with the sand soaked in blood. The Bluff is coming to Prime Video February 25,” instantly sending fans into a frenzy.
With this role, the actress ventures into new cinematic territory, portraying a woman shaped by violence but driven by motherhood. From intense battleground confrontations, including face-offs with Karl Urban, to emotionally charged moments as a mother trying to escape her past, Priyanka’s performance appears both demanding and layered.
Set in the late 1800s, The Bluff follows Ercell Bodden, a once-feared pirate who leaves behind her brutal crew to build a new life as a mother in the Cayman Islands. However, her past refuses to stay buried. When her former crew tracks her down, she is forced to confront the violent world she tried to escape.
Produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO Studios in association with Amazon MGM Studios, The Bluff features an ensemble cast including Temuera Morrison as Quartermaster Lee, Captain Connor’s gold-obsessed confidant, along with Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, Zach Morris, David Field, and Vedanten Naidoo in pivotal roles.
The Bluff is set to premiere on Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
