The much-awaited romantic comedy ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, has finally locked in a new release date. The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan and backed by Dharma Productions, is now slated to hit theatres on 2nd October 2025, aligning with the extended Gandhi Jayanti weekend.
The announcement was made on Instagram, where Dharma Productions unveiled a vibrant new poster featuring Varun Dhawan in full quirky glory. Dressed in an embroidered beige shirt, layered accessories, and tinted sunglasses, Varun’s folded hands and charming grin introduce audiences to his character — Sunny Sanskari — in a truly filmi style.
Accompanying the poster was a tongue-in-cheek poetic line:
“Yeh aansoon hain mere, samundar ka jal nahin… Baarish ka kya bharosa, aaj hai… kal nahin!”, hinting at the playful and emotionally charged tone of the film.
Initially scheduled for a September 12 release, the film’s date has been pushed to October, making space for a potentially bigger box office draw during the holiday season. This film marks Varun and Janhvi’s second on-screen pairing after their 2023 release ‘Bawaal’, and continues Varun’s collaboration with Shashank Khaitan, following hits like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’.
The film also features an ensemble cast including Sanya Malhotra, Maniesh Paul, Rohit Saraf, and Akshay Oberoi, promising a blend of comedy, romance, and all-out Bollywood drama.
With a mix of fresh chemistry, nostalgia-inducing Dulhania vibes, and a dash of desi flair, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ seems poised to offer an entertaining festive season watch when it arrives in cinemas this October.
