Jio Studios and B62 Studios’ upcoming cinematic spectacle Dhurandhar created a strong impression on the global stage at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The film’s lead actor, Ranveer Singh, graced the festival’s closing ceremony in Goa, adding star power and elevating the anticipation surrounding the film.
The ceremony featured an exclusive showcase of the film’s soulful track Gehra Hua, composed by Shashwat Sachdev and sung by Arijit Singh and Armaan Khan, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The performance resonated deeply with audiences, receiving an enthusiastic and heartwarming applause. Ranveer Singh expressed his delight at presenting the song at IFFI, sharing his excitement about the positive response to the film’s teaser, trailer, and music.
Speaking about Dhurandhar’s creator, National Award-winning director Aditya Dhar, Ranveer praised Dhar’s powerful filmmaking style, recalling the impact of his acclaimed film URI: The Surgical Strike. He revealed Dhar’s vision for Dhurandhar to elevate an Indian film to a global platform, inspired by iconic international masterpieces like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon from China and Parasite from Korea. “We hope Dhurandhar will stand among the greats within this genre,” he said, describing it as a large-scale visual extravaganza woven with an intriguing narrative.
In a memorable moment, Ranveer Singh also felicitated legendary actor Rajinikanth for completing 50 iconic years in cinema, celebrating his extraordinary contribution to Indian film culture.
Held at the vast Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Panjim, Goa, the closing ceremony was a star-studded affair attended by national and international media, industry stalwarts, and global film enthusiasts.
Dhurandhar features an impressive ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal alongside Ranveer Singh. The high-octane action thriller is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar serving as producers. Presented by Jio Studios and produced under the B62 Studios banner, the film is set to create waves when it releases in theatres on 5th December 2025.
