Global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo could soon be stepping into Hollywood’s most adrenaline-fueled franchise. Vin Diesel has revealed that a role has been specially written for Ronaldo in the final Fast & Furious film, the eleventh installment of the long-running action saga.
Sharing a photo with the football superstar on Instagram, Diesel hinted at Ronaldo’s potential involvement, calling him “the real deal” and confirming that the filmmakers have created a part tailored for him. While an official confirmation is still awaited, the announcement has already sparked excitement among fans of both the actor and the footballer.
The final Fast & Furious movie is slated for release in April 2027. Diesel has previously stated that the concluding chapter will bring the franchise back to its roots Los Angeles, street racing, and car culture, elements that originally defined the series.
One of the most emotional highlights of the finale will be the on-screen reunion of Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner. Paul Walker, who portrayed Brian, died in a car accident in 2013 before completing filming for Fast & Furious 7. At the time, filmmakers used advanced CGI, visual effects, and the help of Walker’s brothers, Cody and Caleb, to complete his remaining scenes.
The iconic farewell scene in Fast & Furious 7, which showed Dom and Brian parting ways in their cars, remains one of the franchise’s most memorable moments. According to VFX supervisor Joe Letteri, the visual effects work was handled with extreme care to honor Walker’s legacy and ensure audiences focused on his performance rather than the technology behind it.
With a return to its core themes, an emotional reunion, and the possible addition of Cristiano Ronaldo, the final Fast & Furious film is shaping up to be a high-octane farewell for one of Hollywood’s most successful action franchises.
