In a move set to transform India’s tourism landscape, the Haryana government has announced plans for a Disneyland-style theme park in the National Capital Region (NCR), near Gurugram. Spread across 500 acres in Manesar, the park aims to become a global entertainment hub, drawing both domestic and international tourists.
The announcement was made by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini after a strategic meeting with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The CM called the project a “game-changer” for the region and the country, promising significant economic, cultural, and tourism-driven growth.
Manesar- Located near Pachgaon Chowk, the site boasts excellent connectivity via the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway, Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC), and Delhi-Gurugram Expressway. With Gurugram already a hub for Fortune 500 companies and the upcoming 1,000-acre Global City, the area is primed for massive growth.
This will be India’s first Disneyland-style amusement park built in collaboration with a global animation brand, offering immersive rides, themed entertainment zones, and family experiences on par with international standards. The development mirrors similar ambitions from Maharashtra, which recently proposed a theme park in Navi Mumbai.
The state is also amplifying its cultural tourism offerings—expanding the International Gita Mahotsav and planning three annual editions of the Surajkund Mela, up from just one.
“This is more than just tourism—it’s about creating a new cultural and economic ecosystem for Haryana,” said CM Saini.
As India welcomes global attention and rising domestic travel demand, this mega theme park could mark a new chapter in destination development.
