The wait is finally over! The much-anticipated trailer of ‘Ikkis’ dropped on October 29, 2025, unveiling Agastya Nanda in a powerful avatar as Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal , India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the war drama promises an inspiring cinematic retelling of courage, patriotism, and sacrifice.

The trailer opens with a young and determined Arun Khetarpal, portrayed by Agastya Nanda, who dreams of earning the prestigious Param Vir Chakra for his regiment. It traces his journey from the National Defence Academy to the fierce battlegrounds of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, showcasing his transformation from an aspiring cadet into a national hero.

Amidst intense training montages and stirring war sequences, the trailer also offers glimpses of a tender love story that unfolds alongside Khetarpal’s duty to the nation. One of the highlights is the iconic tank ‘Famagusta’, which Khetarpal commanded during the Battle of Basantar.

Veteran actor Dharmendra delivers a heartfelt performance as Arun Khetarpal’s father, while Jaideep Ahlawat stands out as an army officer who pays a moving tribute, saying, “Your son is a shining example for the Indian Army and the Pakistan Army too.”

The trailer reaches its emotional peak with Arun Khetarpal’s immortal final words: “No, Sir. I will not abandon my tank. My gun is still working. I’ll get these b**rds.” The line encapsulates the indomitable spirit of the 21-year-old soldier who gave his life defending the nation.

Earlier this month, Agastya Nanda’s first look as the war hero had already created buzz, with the makers also releasing a one-minute teaser featuring a wartime Telegram reporting Khetarpal’s martyrdom during the Battle of Basantar in 1971.

With ‘Ikkis’, Sriram Raghavan and Dinesh Vijan aim to bring forth the untold story of a true Indian hero, a young man whose courage continues to inspire generations. As the makers put it, “Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega!”
