In a restored bungalow nestled in the foothills of Jammu, October — a women-led arthouse founded by Pragya Aggarwal , celebrates this Diwali with the launch of its new collections, Ghee Shakkar and Summer Sonnets, continuing its journey of reviving heritage craft through design and storytelling.
Ghee Shakkar, the brand’s festive saree collection, pays homage to the 16th-century art of real silver block printing an almost-forgotten technique now reborn for the modern heirloom wardrobe. Crafted in pure pashmina, fine wool, habutai silk, mashru, and organic satin, each saree carries warmth, nostalgia, and a quiet kind of luxury perfect for the glow of the season.
Summer Sonnets extends October’s poetic design language into hand-painted shirts, dresses, and kaftans fluid silhouettes in pastel tones and delicate motifs that echo the calm after celebration, the poetry after festivity. 
Operating from a restored Himalayan home and powered by a collective of women artisans, October reflects a belief that design can repair, not discard. With showcases at Clerkenwell Design Week, Vienna Design Week, Dutch Design Week, and Bharat Tex 2025, the brand continues to earn international recognition for its commitment to heritage, sustainability, and artistry.
