Bollywood fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief one of the industry’s most talked-about celebrity feuds is officially over. Salman Khan has confirmed that celebrated playback singer Arijit Singh will lend his voice to the superstar’s upcoming war drama, The Battle of Galwan, putting an end to years of rumored tension between the two.
The unexpected revelation came during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, when comedian Ravi Gupta joked about his resemblance to Arijit Singh, playfully referencing the long-rumored rift between the singer and Salman. The quip sparked laughter, but more importantly, it prompted Salman to finally address the matter directly.
“Arijit and I are good friends now,” Salman said with a smile, clarifying that the earlier misunderstanding was entirely on his part. He added that Arijit has already sung for several of his films, including Tiger 3, and will now be contributing multiple tracks to The Battle of Galwan, one of Salman’s most anticipated upcoming projects.
For fans unfamiliar with the origins of the fallout, it dates back to a 2014 awards show where Arijit, appearing visibly tired after multiple performances, jokingly told Salman who was hosting that his jokes had nearly put him to sleep. The comment reportedly didn’t sit well with Salman, triggering years of strained relations.
Despite the cold shoulder, Arijit made multiple attempts to patch things up over the years. In 2016, he even posted a public apology on Facebook, pleading for his version of a song to be kept in Salman’s film Sultan. The emotional post was later deleted after it went unanswered.
However, reconciliation rumors began swirling in late 2023 when Arijit was seen visiting Salman’s residence. Not long after, his voice was featured in Tiger 3, signaling that the feud had likely cooled off. Now, with Salman’s on-air confirmation, it’s official the two have buried the hatchet.
