Grand Finale with Aneet Padda’s Dazzling Ramp Debut
The grand finale of Lakmé Fashion Week 2025 ended on a high note with designer Tarun Tahiliani unveiling his latest couture line, ‘Bejeweled’ a stunning tribute to opulence and modern Indian heritage. Marking a significant fashion moment of the evening was actress Aneet Padda, who made her much-anticipated ramp debut as the showstopper.
Padda, best known for her role in Saiyaara, captivated the audience in a golden sequin saree-gown, a standout piece from Tahiliani’s collection that fused traditional draping with contemporary structure. The ensemble featured a corseted bodice with a sweetheart neckline, intricately encrusted with Swarovski crystals and metallic sequins, creating a radiant, sculpted silhouette.
Reimagining the saree for the modern woman, the look included a pleated pallu draped over the shoulder maintaining the elegance of classic Indian attire while embracing a global aesthetic. Styled with diamond-studded bracelets and a bold statement ring, Aneet’s look was completed with soft, cascading curls and smokey eyes, keeping the makeup minimalist yet impactful.
Speaking about the collection, Tarun Tahiliani emphasized the craftsmanship behind Bejeweled, celebrating India’s rich textile legacy through a contemporary lens. “This collection is about structured grace, lightness, and a jeweled fantasy that still feels wearable,” said Tahiliani.
This season’s closing show stood out as a definitive celebration of Indian luxury fashion.
