It was a night of couture, culture, and cinematic charm as siblings Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan made their debut runway appearance together, headlining Abhinav Mishra’s latest couture presentation, The Shrine. Held under the stars in the tranquil gardens of Chhatarpur, the show unfolded like a living canvas where tradition met modern storytelling through architecture, design, and melody.

Known for transforming runways into immersive experiences, Abhinav Mishra elevated his signature aesthetic with The Shrine a collection inspired by India’s architectural heritage. The set resembled a glowing stepwell lit by candlelight and mirrored reflections, a stunning homage to craftsmanship and legacy.

Sara Ali Khan, a long-time muse of the designer, stole the spotlight in a breathtaking rusty orange lehenga richly adorned with mirror work, sequins, zari, resham, and finished with delicate crystal fringes. Her look reflected the Mughal shrine-inspired grandeur that defined the collection a perfect balance of royal tradition and contemporary shine.

Matching her elegance, Ibrahim Ali Khan made a regal statement in an earthy gold katan silk sherwani, intricately embroidered with mirror work and resham detailing. His structured silhouette added a fresh, stately edge to Mishra’s menswear direction.

Together, the siblings personified the essence of The Shrine a celebration of heritage, emotion, and modern grace. The collection itself was a poetic tribute to sacred Indian spaces shrines, palaces, and frescoes brought to life through soft pastels, flowing forms, and intricate embellishments.

Speaking about the collection, Abhinav Mishra shared, “The Shrine, for me, is a metaphor for everything sacred our craft, our stories, our sense of belonging. It is inspired by carved pillars, fading frescos, and mirrored walls things that carry the memory of generations. I wanted this collection to feel like a quiet celebration of that history, retold in a language of softness, sparkle, and soul.”
