In celebration of Navratri, IRCTC has launched an exclusive nine-day spiritual tourism package that offers devotees a chance to visit four revered Jyotirlingas and the iconic Statue of Unity. This special package, priced at an affordable average of Rs 2,200 per day, is available only for passengers from Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, with bookings already open.
The journey will be carried out on the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, departing on October 25 to align with the Navratri festivities. The itinerary includes sacred destinations across Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, blending religious significance with cultural heritage. Boarding points for this journey include Amritsar, Jalandhar City, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ambala Cantonment, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Delhi Cantonment, and Rewari, making the trip easily accessible to devotees in the northern states.
The pilgrimage begins in Ujjain, with visits to the Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlingas, two of the most revered Shiva shrines in India. The train then heads to Kevadia in Gujarat, where travellers will experience the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world and a symbol of national pride. The tour continues to Dwarka to explore the Dwarkadhish Temple and the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, and finally concludes in Somnath, home to the sacred Somnath Jyotirlinga.
IRCTC offers multiple classes for travel comfort, with 640 seats in Sleeper class, 70 seats in 3AC standard, and 52 seats in 2AC comfort. With limited seats available, early booking is strongly recommended to be part of this special Navratri pilgrimage.
