In a major boost to road connectivity and commuter convenience, the Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway, a key segment of the ambitious Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project, is now fully open to the public. The newly launched stretch is already reshaping travel dynamics between Delhi-NCR and Jaipur, bringing down the journey time to just 2.5 to 3 hours under normal traffic conditions.
Officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) confirmed the development, calling it a critical link in the broader expressway network.
“This segment plays a pivotal role in the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway corridor,” a senior NHAI official stated. “Now that it’s operational, we expect a steady rise in traffic as more travelers discover this faster, more efficient route.”
Stretching over 66.91 kilometers, the expressway has been constructed at a cost of ₹1,368 crore. Designed to support high-speed travel with a top speed limit of 120 km/h, the expressway is already witnessing heavy usage — with over 15,000 vehicles plying daily.
The expressway not only shortens travel time but is also expected to ease congestion on older routes between Delhi and Jaipur. With smoother connectivity, enhanced safety measures, and efficient design, the Bandikui-Jaipur stretch is poised to become a preferred choice for both daily commuters and long-distance travelers.
