Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio made her Indian runway debut as the showstopper for designer Manish Malhotra. Held on July 26, the couture showcase marked Day 4 of the fashion week and brought a wave of international glamour to the Indian stage.
Known for his cinematic couture and celebrity-led showcases, Malhotra surprised audiences by flying in the former Victoria’s Secret Angel for his couture party-themed show. Alessandra took to the runway in two striking looks that merged Indian craftsmanship with global appeal.
Her first ensemble was a silver saree-inspired creation featuring a plunging sweetheart neckline, fishtail skirt, and a rhinestone-studded palla draped over one shoulder. The second look was a pearl-drenched lehenga set, paired with a strapless silver bustier and a voluminous flared skirt. Both outfits were styled with opulent jewellery, including diamonds, rubies, and traditional Indian accessories like a haath phool and maang teeka. 
Alessandra’s sleek top-knot and dewy makeup let the couture pieces shine, capturing the perfect balance between elegance and edge. Her presence elevated the show to a global spectacle, underscoring Malhotra’s position as a designer who continues to redefine Indian fashion with star power and sophistication.
Also showcased were iconic Bollywood looks from Malhotra’s design legacy, including outfits worn by Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Kajol, adding a nostalgic layer to a night that seamlessly blended heritage with high fashion.
