The cast of Border 2 just got bigger and bolder. Actors Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty have officially joined the team of the highly anticipated war drama, which is currently in its third shooting schedule at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune.
A picture released by the filmmakers shows Dosanjh and Shetty seated alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, who lead the ensemble cast. Also seen in the image were producer Bhushan Kumar, co-producer Shiv Chanana, director Anurag Singh, writer-producer Nidhi Dutta, and Binoy Gandhi, all posing with the team at the NDA campus.
Border 2 is the sequel to the iconic 1997 war film Border, directed by JP Dutta. The original film, which starred Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and Akshaye Khanna, was based on the Battle of Longewala during the 1971 India-Pakistan War and has since become a landmark in Indian cinema.
While the sequel retains the essence of patriotism and valor, it introduces a new generation of soldiers with Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty playing pivotal roles. The film promises to once again celebrate the spirit of the Indian Armed Forces, focusing on themes of courage, sacrifice, and national pride.
The shoot began earlier this year and is expected to wrap up by mid-August. Border 2 is scheduled to be release on January 23, 2026 release.
