Bollywood icon Kajol turned heads at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Maa, stepping out in a striking black ensemble that effortlessly blended power and grace. The actress, known for her timeless style, made a bold fashion statement in a custom black silk saree paired with a heavily embellished corset-style blouse.
Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Radhika Mehra, Kajol’s outfit was designed by the label Torani. The saree’s loose, fluid drape and deep black hue were inspired by the fierce spirit of Goddess Kali, while the gold corset blouse added a modern, armour-like touch — described by Mehra as “part jewellery, part power statement.”
Ditching traditional jewellery, Kajol opted for minimalism with a bold edge. She wore no earrings or necklace, instead choosing to wear a dramatic stack of gold bangles. Her makeup featured smouldering eyes and a black-turquoise bindi, and she left her hair in soft, loose waves — completing a look that was as raw and regal as the character she portrays. 
Maa, directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Ajay Devgn, marks Kajol’s debut in the horror genre. The trailer, released on May 30, hints at an intense narrative centered around a mother fiercely protecting her daughter from sinister forces. Set to hit theatres on June 27, 2025, the film promises a gripping blend of emotional depth and supernatural thrill.
