The International Tea Day, observed on May 21, is an opportunity to celebrate the cultural significance, health benefits and economic importance of tea, promoting sustainable production practices, and raising awareness about the challenges faced by tea plantation workers and how they can be addressed. It is a moment to pause and reflect on the integral role tea plays in our lives.

As we mark International Tea Day, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the health, hygiene and education of women tea pluckers. We launched a special initiative on Women’s Day through which we have supported around 1000 tea pluckers and will continue to do so. We also remain committed to continuing to evolve with the times while staying true to our roots and legacy. 

An unmatched legacy

Wagh Bakri Tea Group’s journey began more than 130 years ago, guided by the visionary Narandas Desai, who believed in uniting communities through tea.
