Eight years after conquering global box offices, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is preparing for a massive comeback. The makers have officially announced a re-release of the original Baahubali film, both across India and internationally, this October.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda revealed the news on X (formerly Twitter), promising fans not just a re-release, but a “year of celebration,” complete with new reveals, nostalgic moments, and surprise events under the banner #ReliveTheEpic.
Directed by visionary filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli and starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, Baahubali 2 originally hit screens on April 28, 2017. Made on a budget of ₹250 crore, it shattered records by grossing over ₹1800 crore worldwide, becoming India’s highest-grossing film and the first to cross the ₹1000 crore mark domestically — a title it still holds in 2025. 
Apart from its staggering commercial success, the film garnered critical acclaim, bagging three National Film Awards, including Best Stunt Choreography, Best Special Effects, and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. It also earned international recognition with a Saturn Award for Best International Film.
The movie is all set to be re-released in October.
