Comedian Nikki Glaser will be back as the host for the Golden Globes next year...
The 83rd Golden Globes ceremony is officially scheduled for Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the renowned Beverly Hilton, as announced by the awards organisers. This announcement marks the start of an increasingly busy awards season, with other major events already on the calendar.
Comedian Nikki Glaser will once again take center stage as the host of the Golden Globes next year. Glaser, who made history by becoming the first woman to serve as a solo host in 2025, expressed her excitement for the opportunity. In a playful remark reported by Variety, she quipped about her future prospects on television
“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career. I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from ‘The White Lotus’ who will finally recognise my talent and cast me in Season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”
Her return comes after the success of her previous stint, with Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, praising Glaser’s “refreshing spark and fearless wit” for creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere at the ceremony.
Nominations for excellence in both movies and television will be revealed on December 8, although a complete timeline for the awards season is yet to be disclosed. This year’s Globes, produced by Dick Clark Productions, follow last year’s event that averaged 9.3 million Live+Same Day viewers.
The Globes will be a key part of the 2026 awards circuit. Following the January ceremony, other high-profile events include the Oscars on March 15, which will be broadcast on ABC; the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, March 1, airing on Netflix; and the Producers Guild Awards scheduled for February 28, according to Variety.
The 83rd Golden Globes will be available for viewers both on CBS and via streaming on Paramount+
