Actors Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor attended the highly anticipated trailer launch event of Raid 2 in Mumbai on Tuesday. The duo looked stunning at the event, with Vaani shining in a traditional golden-white attire, while Ajay kept it casual yet stylish in denims and a dark shirt.
The film will now debut in cinemas next year, much to the excitement of fans and critics alike. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, and presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, Raid 2 is a Panorama Studios production.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the sequel continues the gripping narrative of the first film, with Ajay Devgn reprising his role as the no-nonsense Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik. The trailer offers a glimpse of his intense portrayal as he faces off against Riteish Deshmukh’s ruthless politician, Dadabhai. Additionally, Saurabh Shukla returns in his role, while Vaani Kapoor joins the cast as Amay’s wife, taking over the role originally played by Illeana D’Cruz in the first film. 
The storyline of Raid 2 follows Amay Patnaik as he takes on another high-profile case involving white-collar crime, inspired by real-life income-tax raids and intelligence operations aimed at uncovering and dismantling illicit financial activities.
Filming for the movie took place across various locations in India, including Mumbai, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, during the first half of 2024. With its compelling plot, strong performances, and stellar cast, Raid 2 is generating significant buzz ahead of its release. Fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel, which promises to be another intense and captivating chapter in the world of crime and corruption.
Raid 2 is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.
