Delhi Metro commuters can now book bike taxis and auto-rickshaws for their first- and last-mile connectivity along with their Metro tickets in a single transaction,This new feature has been introduced by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The initiative aims to simplify urban commuting and eliminate the hassle of making multiple bookings.
The new feature is available through the DMRC Sarthi-Momentum 2.0 app, which was developed in collaboration with Autope Payment Solutions Ltd. DMRC has partnered with Rapido, a well-known provider of bike taxi and auto-rickshaw services, to offer seamless connectivity. Additionally, DMRC has partnered with SheRyds, a women-led startup that exclusively provides bike taxi services for female commuters.
Here’s how the service works: 
- Users enter their destination, and the app suggests the nearest Metro stations along with available first- and last-mile transport options.
- A bike taxi or auto-rickshaw is booked for pickup from the user’s location to the nearest Metro station.
- Before reaching the destination station, another ride is automatically booked for the last-mile travel. If the Metro station is within walking distance, the app will not suggest a vehicle. A walking navigation feature is planned for future updates.
DMRC Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar expressed, “With the launch of this integrated service, we are addressing one of the most pressing challenges in urban commuting — first- and last-mile connectivity. Sarthi-Momentum 2.0 makes Metro travel more accessible, efficient, and convenient for all.”
The service is designed to provide a one-stop solution for booking both Metro tickets and last-mile transport, ensuring quicker, cost-effective, and reliable connectivity. Dayal, a spokesperson for DMRC, stated, “The service offers commuters a one-stop solution for metro tickets and last-mile travel, ensuring quicker, cost-effective, and reliable connectivity with seamless ride access through DMRC’s trusted platform.”
With the introduction of Sarthi-Momentum 2.0, DMRC is making it easier for passengers to travel across the city.
