At The Phantom of the Opera Premiere at NMACC
Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani recently attended the opening night of The Phantom of the Opera at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in a beautiful six yard saree. Her choice of a beautiful coffee brown saree reflected a timeless aesthetic, making it an ideal option for both formal and semi-formal occasions.
For 2025, Mocha Mousse is declared as the Pantone colour of the year depicting warmth, comfort and richness. Designer Manish Malhotra, who created the ensemble, shared images of her look on social media, describing it as a custom-made mocha-coloured saree with a delicately embroidered full-sleeved blouse adorned with crystals. The plain saree featured a shimmering sequin border, and its lightweight, breathable fabric made it well-suited for warm weather. She paired it with a designer quarter-sleeve blouse, where the net sleeves were intricately embroidered with bling and sequin work, adding a touch of grandeur to the look.

Mrs Ambani kept it simple with no neckpiece, allowing her earrings to accentuate the elegance of the evening. She accessorised with a big diamond ring and flower-shaped statement diamond studs, enhancing the sophisticated appeal. Going with her classic style, she opted for a side-parted hair bun and minimal makeup. Her glossy brown lip shade and kohl-lined eyes added to the charm, while a simple bindi perfectly complemented her saree.
Speaking at the red carpet event, Nita Ambani expressed her enthusiasm for the milestone occasion. At the inauguration of the famous show, she mentioned, “We have completed two incredible years here. I had made a promise when we inaugurated NMACC that we would get the best of India to the world and the best of the world to India. Today, we have the most iconic The Phantom of the Opera right here in India at our own cultural centre. It cannot get bigger and better than this.”
